Most meeting transcription works by adding a participant. Somebody's assistant appears in the invite, sits in the call, and takes the audio to a service. Everyone in the room can see it, some of them will have opinions about it, and in plenty of companies it is simply not allowed.
D-REC is not a participant. It runs on your computer and records what your computer hears, so there is no bot in the invite and nothing to disclose beyond the fact that you are taking notes, which is what you were doing anyway.
It writes the meeting down as it happens, breaks it into chapters, and gives each chapter a short read so you can find the part where the decision was made. Drop a marker with one key when something matters, and it is waiting for you afterwards.
The recording and the transcript stay on your machine. For a lot of teams that is the difference between being able to use a tool and not.
Recording other people is still governed by law and by courtesy, and both are your call, not ours.
