One recording per shooting day, a chapter every 5 minutes, and a CSV the edit can search by timecode. Recorded and kept on the device.
By the end of the day, the day's dialogue is already text. D-REC records the day as one recording, writes every line with its timecode, and starts a new chapter every 5 minutes with a title and a recap, so the day reads as a list.
Markers and sound labels you add during the day land on the Resolve timeline as colored markers. The meter counts every time the input clips, and the count is written into the text and Markdown files.
The transcript exports as a CSV with two timecode columns, time of day and camera timecode, so the edit can search the day's dialogue and jump to the frame.
It runs on a laptop or on a phone, and nothing you record leaves either one.

How does the editor use it?
Import the EDL for the markers and open the CSV beside the clips; the timecode columns line up with the camera when its timecode was typed in.
Where is the recording kept?
On the device that recorded it, and nowhere else. Delete a recording and it is gone from the only place it was kept.
