Markers for DaVinci Resolve from a timed transcript
Every mark, chapter and sound note you make while recording lands on the Resolve timeline as a marker, at the frame it happened, in the colour Resolve expects.
DaVinci Resolve reads markers from an EDL the same way it writes them: one event per marker, the colour in the comment, the frame counted from the timeline's start. D-REC writes exactly that file.
A line mark is cyan, a red mark is red, a sound note is green, a chapter is blue, a to-do is yellow. Each is one frame long and none share a frame, so the markers stay distinct on the timeline instead of stacking.
Markers count from 01:00:00:00 at the take's start, or from the slate's timecode if you typed one, so the EDL lines up with the camera's clips without an offset step.
Open the take, press RESOLVE, and import the EDL onto the timeline with the take's audio. The transcript itself travels beside it as a CSV with the same timecode, so a marker and its words point at one frame.

Do I need the free or the Studio version?
Either. Marker import is in both.
Can the markers use the camera's timecode?
Yes, when the slate's timecode is typed into the take. Otherwise they count from 01:00:00:00 at the start of the take.
