Script supervisor notes with timecode

Type the camera's timecode once and every line of the transcript carries it. Markers drop at the playhead, chapters split a long day into parts, and nothing you record leaves the device.

A script supervisor's notes are most useful when they point at a frame. A note that says the second take, near the end, costs the editor 10 minutes; a note that says 01:02:14:08 costs nothing. D-REC puts a timecode on every line of its transcript, and the timecode can be the camera's.

Type the camera's timecode into the clock menu when you start recording and every line counts from it, at the frame rate you set: 24, 25 or 30. Change the frame rate later and the same moment still reads correctly, because the timecode is kept exactly as you typed it.

Press one key to drop a marker at the playhead while you record. A new chapter starts every 5 minutes with a title, so a long day reads as a list. The meter counts every time the input clips, and the count is written into the text and Markdown files.

The notes export as a CSV with a time-of-day column and a camera timecode column, as Markdown, and as timeline markers DaVinci Resolve reads by color. Nothing you record is uploaded.

Also on Android, Mac and Windows: every way to get D‑REC.
